Background on The Royal British Legion

The Royal British Legion maintains the Remembrance of those service men and women who sacrificed their lives in earlier conflicts and providing a range of welfare services to those who survived. In 2010, The Royal British Legion committed £50 million over 10 years to help serving men and women who are wounded, injured or sick. This commitment will be used to develop a Battle Back Centre, an adaptive sports facility and towards the operating costs of four Personnel Recovery Centres. To date, we have helped over 16000 Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans and their families.
